Sun Flare GraphicIf We Work Together, We Can Do It
Ensuring that our neighbors are warm and healthy. Finding solutions to the global climate change reality. These are both large feats, but not unrealistic ones. Each and every one of us can take small steps to secure a healthy planet for our children and our children's children.

Estimate your Impact
Each time you take a flight, board a train, or drive your car, greenhouse gases are emitted. Likewise, each time you choose to carpool, turn down the thermostat, or recycle, greenhouse gases are saved. Click here to estimate your carbon footprint and find out where there are opportunities to save.

How to Reduce your Footprint

  1. Drive less and drive smart
Walk, bike, carpool or take mass transit. You'll save one pound of CO2 for each mile you don't drive.
  2. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Recycling just half of your household waste results in saving 2,400 pounds of CO2 per year.
  3. Turn down the heat (and air conditioning)
Adjusting your thermostat by just 2 degrees down in the summer and 2 degrees up in the winter can save 2,000 pounds of CO2 per year.
  4. Use compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs)
By replacing just one regular lightbulb with a compact flourescent, you can save 150 pounds of CO2 per year.
  5. Spread the word!
Tell your family, tell your friends, tell your neighbors. Together, we can find solutions to climate change.
